Kouhei Sakurai, Tetsuya Tsukamoto

Abstract

The expression of a specific gene is epigenetically regulated at multiple steps at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels under physiological conditions. At the transcriptional level, an “open” or “closed” chromatin structure of the promoter region of a gene is an important factor for inducing or repressing transcription (1).
