Long non-coding RNA in the control of genome stability and cancer phenotypes

Giuseppina D’Alessandro, Fabrizio d’Adda di Fagagna

Abstract

Our genomes are continuously under remodeling. Variations at the single-nucleotide level, named single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) when present in more than 1% of the population, drive evolution and are crucial for diversity within the population and different susceptibility to diseases.
